ACALL TO RE-ENVISION HOW WE INVITE CHILDREN AND YOUTH INTO SPIRITUAL COMMUNITY and nurture Quaker identity. What do the roots of Quaker religious education and our condition in meetings today have to say to each other? What grounding does Faith and Practice offer, in combination with our experience of faith and practice during the time of the pandemic — and the ways it has impacted faith communities? What new directions in religious education are possible that support an inclusive, intergenerational experience of Quakerism?  What holy experiments are we called to now?  This is a reprise of the QREC conference keynote presentation delivered in August.

Presenter: Melinda Wenner Bradley is the Youth Religious Life Coordinator for Philadelphia Yearly Meeting. She is also an accredited Godly Play trainer and co-author of Faith & Play Stories and serves on the Steering Circle for QREC. Her ministry among Friends weaves together expertise in children’s spirituality, resource development, and care for parents and teachers. She seeks to nurture all-ages, multigenerational spiritual community among Friends.
